Our Buddhist church and our school celebreted The Buddha’s birrthday on 8 May 2009.
Dr. Ambedkar High School’s and the guest school’s students got to know each other in a friendly football match in the morning. Our friends honoured the program with their attendance from India, Budapest and Miskolc. Puzsar, the famous top goal scorer was the star of football matches. Ashwin Jangam, our Indian friend played football for the first time on this day. Julien Ingram represented the American sport-life ont he field of Sajokaza. Don Bosco School’s team in Kazincbarcika won the match.

The celebration continued on yard of the Cultural Centre int he village with dance and music programs, and at noon we enjoyed cauldron goulash, special Hungarian cuisine. There was a festive and creature moods despite the heat. Finally spectators occupied the stage.
In the evening we talked about Buddhism, humanity, empathy, respect for each other and the inner harmony with The Gate of Dharma Buddhist College’s teachers and students. We listened to the scientific lectures from Ruzsa Ferenc, the chief director of The Gate of Dharma Buddhist College and from Körtvélyesi Tibor, who is a Sanskrit language teacher. The day ended with meditation, by Száraz Róbert.
